SOJA DE PORTUGAL Celebrates Water Day in the Vilela School Group

SOJA DE PORTUGAL, as a member of the General Council of the Vilela School Group in Paredes, organized an activity for the celebration of Water Day.

This action, divided into two distinct moments, was held at the Educational Centre of Vilela and counted with the participation of students from kindergarten and primary education. In the first phase, about 200 balloons with messages about the importance of water were distributed, creating a magical moment in the entire school community. The messages consisted of requests addressed to the people who found them, in order to guarantee the return of the same and thus prevent pollution and debris accumulation. In a second phase, a workshop on water was organized for the students of the primary education, teaching them "Save to value".

Between experiments and the transmission of new knowledge the students have learned about the importance of water and what is our role in preserving it. Meanwhile, balloons were already found in Vieira de Leiria, S. Pedro de Moel, Mira-Aveiro and Peniche, and the school received a response to the messages that were sent.
